About Our Internship Program

The Friendly Law-FCC Internship Program was established thanks to the Frederick Community College Innovation Fund, set up by Dr. Thomas H. Powell, FCC Interim President, to support ideas and programs that will advance the University’s mission of providing affordable, flexible access to lifelong education that responds to the needs of diverse learners and the community.

The Program was proposed by Dr. Aitza M. Haddad, and approved by FCC on Fall 2021. Students were selected during the Winter Break and will be assisting the organization with positions and projects within the organization, such as marketing, communications, and campaigning, as well as with research and project development.

By creating this program, FCC students will be able to produce and provide strong researched content, teaching and mentoring, as well as obtain involvement with technology, advocacy, and policy development through our organization. Such opportunity will help them build up their resumes, and can later translate into more opportunities within their professional goals and dreams.
